Im very impatient and busy at work so I did not have time to derotate the moons. Seeing was 6 or 7 out of 10 for Saturn, and

then went down hill. Seeing for Jupiter was average to poor at best. Anyways thanks for looking!

I don't know whether its because your image is so brilliant in its resolution Mitchell, but those rings look to have opened up quite a bit waytogo.gif

I'd say it's the Hubble resolution he captured. He caught the Encke gap with the rings nearly edge on.

Whats your scope and location?

I bet you wish that you had this scope when the hexagon was visible! Lovely image!

This was with the 18" Newtonian I built. Yeah it would have been so cool to capture the hex with this setup. Thos season has been bad. I guess due to the LaNina weather pattern. I have still yet to fully resolve this scope.

Mitchell, gorgeous image! The shadow transit is very clear. Banding looks great. I love that scope.

Steve

I like this version better! I used too much waveletts in the other version.

Very nice, I prefer the 2nd version also, although it’s more difficult to see the transiting moon.

I agree with Space Cowboy, love pureness of your second image.  I had the chance to view through a friend's 18" scope this weekend at 600x with superb seeing and your colors match the visual closely.
