I’ve got 860mm in my Esprit 120ED, it doesn’t come close to cutting it… The only problem I have with 1630mm is it’s f/8, so it’s slow. I’m on a mountain so the seeing can be pretty good.

agreed.

my Stellarvue SVX-102T is 714mm.  it does not come close to my RC which is 1485mm reduced.

could you drop the F Ratio slightly by spacing the reducer. ?

I got mine down to F5.9 (by spacing) which is much better than F8, but still slower than my Takahashi FSQ.

Nope, what your seeing is compression, it’s what happens when you upload a 200mb+ 32bit TIFF and it’s gets crushed down multiple times by JPEG into barely 7 meg.. It’s a downside of attempting to pixel peep online…

Correct I need more than 1600mm… I’ve got 860mm in my Esprit 120ED, it doesn’t come close to cutting it… The only problem I have with 1630mm is it’s f/8, so it’s slow. I’m on a mountain so the seeing can be pretty good.

I actually did check out your abin before posting my comment to make sure it wasn‘t compression.

So you saw that is was a highly compressed jpg then… Like extremely highly compressed… The file name ending is .jpg is the key…
