Hi All,
I have an Askar V modular telescope, which has worked great.
Lately though, I've been having a focusing issue. This telescope has a coarse and fine focusing knob.
I can extend the tube out without much effort (counter clockwise direction), but when turning the other direction to contract the tube (clockwise direction), it puts up a lot of resistance and making a squeaking sound. My EAF doesn't have the torque to turn it. (I've since taken the EAF off to troubleshoot)
I don't want to get too extreme with taking it apart or messing with all the screws yet before I know more.
Does anyone know what might be the cause and fix?
Chris
