Clear skies and moderate temperatures made for some pleasant observing today, even if the seeing didn't fully cooperate.

I caught a nice surge prom on the southwest limb from AR3854/3852, starting abt 22:30, and mostly over in 40 minutes.

I was also fascinated by an epic filaprom tongue in the south, with lateral bars evocative of a raccoon's tail.

The devil's face in the east features mouth, nose, eyes and horns!

A day later, and El Diablo is still there.
