Hi guys,

This time was M33 to be captured with the mighty GSO 200mm f/4 newtonian, working with a 175mm apperture mask on the mirror to get better star shapes smile.gif

This is 94x90 secs for LUM and another 32x90 secs for each filter.

Very happy with this one, for the first time I runned the RGB subs in Siril and went for the easy way with the RGB combine script, followed by fotometric color calibration, as I'm color blind I always struggle with this but looking at the histogram it looks good to me smile.gif there were some very complex gradients and color blotches because of light pollution here but I think I tamed them ok given the circumstances.

For the LRGB image assembly I used Photoshop and tweeked the color a bit to bring out the blues and reds, what do you guys think about the colors, overdone or...?

Cheers,

I’ve been working on an M33 from city skies as well, and it isn’t turning out as well as yours.  Very nice!

Thank you! :)

You know, I've prety much gave up on imaging broadband and RGB from the city but these new softwares, in particular Graxpert brought a new life to my imaging as they cope well with the very complex gradients, for sure it still takes a lot of "hammering" but in the end is well worth it! I'm amazed of what's possible these days...beeing playing around with some old data with all these new softwares (Astap, Siril, Graxpert, Cosmic Clarity and so on...) and man...game changer for sure!
