After a long time I finally managed to photograph the Sun again.
Coincidentally today there are no obvious protuberances, so I fall back on a whole disk photographed with the Lunt 60mm h-alpha telescope in triple stack mode.

60-second movie at 6fps
Autostakkert3, Astrosurface and Solarfinish processing

Lunt 60mm TH-alpha
DS Coronado SMII 60mm module
Daystar Combo Quark Cromosfera
GSO 0.5 reducer
ZWO ASI178mm camera

Triple stacked jawdrop.gif Of course, by the time I'm finally able to save up enough to double stack my puny little LS50THα, all the cool kids have moved on to triple stacking...

It took me more than ten years to get to this point, and when I started with a PST I never imagined I would make similar photos. With time and experience you can reach good goals. Then of course there will always be someone who will make better photos, but it's part of the game.

It is not true that Quark is not loved. I have a Combo Quark and I am satisfied with it.
And I also use Quark for the triple stack waytogo.gif

I said doesn't have here, not me, i love my Quark even for 1 time use, i already trusting it, but i read more topics about not satisfied users of Quark over Lunt so that i concluded that, but i am happy to see others have love or respect for Quark whatever version.

And You triple stacked it with whaaaaaaaatttttttttt??? wink.gif laugh.gif grin.gif

And most important question is, which scope do you use this Combo Quark with, and can you have a full disk without mosaic?

Mosaic with 4x telecentric. Full disc with 2x telecentric. But the details captured at 2x will not be as satisfying, particularly solar disk detail. I'm speaking from experience with 81 mm, 92 mm, and 130 mm refractors.

Ok, i got it, well, i think i have to learn mosaic then, i have to decide which app for that, there are several, during photography timer i was using PTGui.

Did you decolored or you added color after? In pure visual without stacking, does it look anything similar?

Hi,
I added the color after processing. The camera I use is monochrome.
If you mean an observation with the eyepiece, I can't observe in triple stack because I have problems reaching the focus.

I add a link to Google Drive, you can download the raw image as it was processed by Autostakkert3. So you can get an idea of how it is before processing and try to process it yourself if you want.
