I am struggling with Siril. I was not able to get it to work with my M3 MacBook Pro, but I got it installed with the scripts on an HP PC.

When I try to enter FITS files into stacking, I am not getting red/blue/green, I'm getting B+W.

Images were shot with a ZWO 533MM. Can anyone point me to where the solution may be here in CN Forums or advise me directly here?

Thanks and peace,

Ron Levandoski

Your raw files need to be debayered/demosaiced to produce a colour image.

In Siril, on the Conversion panel in the lower RH side below the "Sequence name" field next to a check box "Symbolic Link" there is another check box "Debayer". Check it and there you go. Cheers.

The OP stated he was using a ZWO 533MM camera. That is mono, so the image should be BW.

On the other hand the title of the thread suggests the OP is using a OSC camera (maybe the ASI533MC Pro ?).

The OP needs to clarify!

I used to check that debayer box while doing the conversion.  Then I saw that I actually should wait until the "Calibration" step, checking the "Debayer before saving" box at the bottom of that tab.  At least that what this Siril tutorial indicates...  (Note that this older documentation still calls the Calibration step ""Pre-processing".)

You can but I just do it at conversion step in the beginning and never saw any difference in results. Saves me from forgetting that I didn't do when I get to Calibration. waytogo.gif

So the question arises, do you have a 533MM or 533MC? Your topic says OSC but you list the 533MM, a monochrome camera. Cheers.

So sorry, my cam is a 533 MC. Will try to figure out the debayer issue and get back to you guys with the results. Thanks for you time and consideration.
