Took possession of a CEM 25p and I need to purchase a USB to RS232 cable, connected to a miniPC running Win 11 Pro. It seems iOptron suggests and sells one with a FTDI chipset. Other cables feature the Prolific chipset.
Will either flavor work? iOptron points to various drivers (https://www.ioptron....duct-p/8435.htm) to download but I'm wondering if Win 11 will identify and auto-install the proper ones regardless of whether its FTDI or Prolific. Or possibly ASCOM will handle it? I've read where Prolific can be a bit twitchy but most of the chat is quite dated.
