Greetings,

I use my Celestron EdgeHD 11" on my Pegasus Astro NYX-101 Harmonic Drive mount. I have a friend who wants a Celestron EdgeHD 11", and he wants to know if anyone is using this telescope on the new SkyWatcher 150i. My C11 when fully loaded weighs in at just about 30lbs. The new SkyWatcher 150i has a payload capacity of 55lbs (with counterweights).

I know there's rule about this, but I also know there's tons of people who exceed this weight rule without any problems at all.

Any thoughts on what advice to give my friend?

And again, is there anyone out there using the Celestron EdgeHD 11" on the new SkyWatcher 150i?

I haven’t had first light with my 150i, coming from an AM5. The design and workmanship are first class. I can’t imagine anything but success, but warn him to study the cabling, first. Once understood, the elegance of the design shines through.
