Actually I have done this before but it takes a lot of time (I'm sure there is a faster way to do this!) but it's fun to watch a transition through the 3 wavelengths and watch the features change.  Ha-Lunt LS60T DS  WL and CaK-Orion ED80T with the Lunt CaK BF1200 and 1.25" Lunt WL Wedge.  Saturn-M SQR.  Reduced the size due to seeing, shooting through clouds, you name it!  Did get a nice sun halo shot too!

I love the animation!

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you clouds, make sun halos images!

Sweet! cool.gif waytogo.gif

A small suggestion, if you don't mind. Allow each item to linger for 1/2-1 sec before transitioning to the next phase. This will give the viewer time to see each phase (WL, CaK, Ha) before it transitions to the next.

Thanks everyone!  Gary, I actually thought about putting a pause on each 100% wavelength to hold a bit longer for viewing…but I didn't. wink.gif  Should be an easy change though.

Yep, that was easy!  How's this one Gary? grin.gif (I do take requests!)

Better! Although ... one last modification? wink.gif  The transition appears to be WL -> CaK -> Ha, and that goes great. But then instead of the WL image reappearing, CaK appears for a brief moment. So you could either jump back to the WL image (and hold it as before) or reverse the order (from Ha go through Cak and then to WL) with the same delays.

I think the latter is what you were trying to do but you didn't add the hold on the CaK during the return.

I'll stop now ... grin.gif

Sheesh!  lol.gif Yeah, it plays WL-CaK-Ha and then back down to CaK and back to WL again.  You have to travel through CaK to get back to WL.  I just didn’t add the second delay on the 100% CaK image.  There is one frame of WL, followed by 10 frames of CaK, followed by 10 frames of Ha at various transparencies for the transition. The reverse is the same, 10 frames of Ha followed by 10 frames of CaK to the single WL image.

Think of it as getting on an elevator on the photosphere and going up two floors to the top of the chromosphere but stopping a second on each floor.  Then you take the express elevator back down to the photosphere rapidly passing through the lower level of the chromosphere.flowerred.gif

Last one...and I have to admit, I think this might be the best.  Thanks Gary! grin.gif

The last one is the best.  Was hoping that it would pause if I clicked on it in one phase or another.
