its a bit strange at F12

takes a while to cool down 

otherwise is decent

anyone has further information

They’re not that old, im tempted to say within the last ten years or so, I recall checking them out on the Meade site when they were new.

The LX65 Instruction Manual has "June 2018 REV 0" on the back page.

 

Of course the ETX Matsutovs have been around for decades.

F12 is typical for a Mak. My Synta is the same. Insulation eliminates cool down issues. I use mine in winter immediately at high power. Just wrap it inside before bringing it out. Mine is much more than “decent”. It’s excellent for high power lunar/planetary, which was the reason I got it.

That’s a pretty scope btw.  Nice color combo. Mine is the solid grey color though in colder months I only see it insulated!

i took these last night Jupiter in red light with mk6

 

not bad  of course seeing has effect also
