Hi, i acquired a Greenkat  22x60 spotting scope, ive been able to find out most things about it and the Greenkat  company but the

manufacturer is a bit of a mystery.  There is a tiny logo on the label plate. I best describe it as semi circle [ horse shoe with toe pointed up]and a tri star the same as the mercedes benz one inside it. Can any one shed some light?

I used to own a pair of Greenkat binoculars, definitely Japanese manufacture but I don't recall the supplier of the optics.  There was a "J-Bxxx" stamp on them though, for sure. Compact and well-made, if not top class. Decent optics too.

I once found such a bino but didn't buy because of very poor condition. Ive discovered that Greenkat was a British importer but so far i have not been able to find who made them. Only clue has been from Bomber Bob but no success as yet.  This scope has both caps and the glass at both ends is pristine, performance is very good with no sign of blue/violet on twigs and transmission lines, sharp almost to the edge and very bright.  Comes from a good maker, but who ?

My GreenKat binos were stamped with J-B133, which is the mark of optical maker Kamakura.

Chased up Kamakura, seem they made bins and scopes for almost everybody, but since spotting scopes don't have jb numbers the jb 133 doesn't help. Is there a list of manufacturers logo's somewhere i could go through?
