Hello everyone, I am writing from Italy and I own a William Optics Megrez 120 FD APO / DDG refractor (year 2010) on which I would like to mount an automatic focuser such as ZWO EAF or ToupTek AAF to then configure it with NINA for imaging. However, I noticed that the lower base of my focuser is particular and does not provide the standard holes to screw the support bracket of the focusers mentioned above. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Should I think of using a different product? I attach some Megrez focuser photos. Thanks in advance for any suggestion you can give me.

I think your best option might be a Primaluce Lab Sesto Senso, they don't use a L bracket for installation.

thanks for your reply, I just contacted the technical support of primalucelab to ask for information on their focuser 'Sesto Senso 2' sending them the photo that I also attached here of my focuser without knobs and with the measurements...  and they quickly answered me this:

 

"there shouldn't be any space problems to mount SESTOSENSO, however we only have a bushing with a Ø2.4mm hole instead of Ø2.1mm which would be the ideal size for your telescope. In theory the elastic joint should compensate for the difference, but I'm not 100% sure about this."

 

the small shaft of my focuser measures 2mm while their smallest coupling bushing measures 2.4mm so they also can't guarantee 100% that it can work correctly. 

at the end... I still don't know what to do !!  I will look to see if there are other focusers that work 'on axis' without bracket like the Primaluce Lab
