I have the option of a ex demo Paramount Helium 200 Tripod or a iOptron Try-pier 360 for a similar price......
It would be for my Paramount MyT .
Would appreciate opinions.....to which would be the best choice.

There's something to be said for maintaining the same vendor for all your parts ... the MyT should bolt straight onto the Helium. You would possibly need an adapter for the Tri-Pier. That said, if you have a long tube, the pier style is more forgiving of tube / leg interference.

The iOptron 360 Pier plate has holes for the MyT.
I was looking at it but found a tripod locally that worked, 1/2 price for the used tripod.

Went with the Paramount Helium 200, this keeps the weight down.......However, with my Edge HD11 its very borderline portable !!

How do you use it?? Set up / tear down every time?? Piece by piece?? I have my ME on wheels. I just go from garage to backyard, level, concrete garage floor to blacktop driveway across grass to a concrete pad. About 40 feet.
ME, Parallax portable pier, refractor and power board.
To be honest, I do not travel with this mount / pier, this is for home use only.
