Is it a money conversion issue? The site may be stating Canadian Dollars.

DigitalSGM - much like El Guapo* - is infamous.
It's not a conversion issue. It's a vaporware issue. Your money will poof to vapor, and you'll wonder ware it went.

No, as I said, $350 Can which it shows is $250 U.S. Still ridiculous.

Not sure what kind of outfit amazon.ca is running. I can't find the same deal on amazon.com (.us)—with literally the same product number in the URL (i.e., just delete the .ca and replace with .com):
Canada: https://www.amazon.c...e/dp/B001NJ2Q4A
US: https://www.amazon.c...e/dp/B001NJ2Q4A
The Canadian seller is DIGITALSGM|AT|G-M-AIL,C OM, a mouthful of an outfit with just two 1 star ratings for scamming—from 2017.
The US seller is Adorama, a world-class outfit with global brand recognition.

Now I'm wondering how you concluded it was a Chinese-based scam. I find nothing in the profile to indicate the seller's whereabouts:
What with the US being an international seller, my money's on US.
Only one way to find out, though—and it's protected by A-to-z Guarantee*:

Haha, of every item they sell in their amazon-shop they have exactly 3 items in stock. And they sell lots of very different stuff: https://www.amazon.c...=A2EUQ1WTGCTBG2

The linked genuine listing also has some confusing info:
Brand Tele Vue
Eye Piece Lens Description Galilean
Finderscope Reflex
Item Weight 700 Grams
Exit Pupil 3.4 Millimeters
Focal Length Description 13 millimeters
Field Of View 2.03 Degrees
Manufacturer TELEVUE

This ad could be EONS old. This, from amazon.ca: "Unfortunately, this seller has left the platform and can no longer receive messages. Sorry for the inconvenience."
Seems very counterproductive to pay for something, clearly a fraud, only to have amazon pay you back who knows how long in the future. There appears to be little oversight that something like this could just be there for so long.
