Hello everyone,

I have first opportunity to try my new small ASKAR and see how it performs in narrowband. I must say I´m satisfied if I consider how small and lightweight instrument it is.. see for yourself.

Final SHO is only 5h25min

Looking great David!
Did you use BXT in the processing to correct the stars in the corners?

Hello Mert,

BXT was used a bit for make a stars smaller but honestly it does  not need to make any corrections in the corners...the scope performs just very well for APS-S format . Anyway I had to crop an image due to diffrent rotation of Ha emission stack (I was doing some upgrade and so rotation was changed a bit ). I had an opportunity to shoot another 70min of Ha with matching rotation so maybe I will do processing one more time with full APS FOV...at least for SHO version...will see.

Thanks David for clarifying that!
A friend of mine just bought the same scope and asked about the corner stars

So I have get one more hour for H-Alfa and I was able to use full APS field without any significant crop. Reprocessing was made in order to keep the details in nebula as much as possible and do not make such a steep denoising. Also I have choosen a typical Hubble color palette for this version..nice green tones are present now... pretty green grin.gif  I feel it looks now how it suppose to from the very beginning. Comments are welcome .

Thesame for my FRA 500. On a APS-C format it just does not need BlurX for correcting the stars.

However for my RC8 that is another ballgame. Definately BlurX is a big asset for that scope.

Very nice pictures btrw
