Looking to get a widefield short focal length refractor and have narrowed it down to the AT60EDP and the Sharpstar61EDPIII with reducer. Anybody have experience with both?? Not interested in Redcat51 or Askar55 (don't like focuser)! Thought about Draco62 but haven't seen any new reviews and saw a review that had mixed results. Looked at Tak65FCT-D but not convinced it is worth the price given how well these other scopes have performed. So, anybody have experience with 2 main scopes?? Thanks

I have the Sharpstar 61EDPH III plus the .75FF/FR. I and very pleased with it. It has nice tight round stars on my aps-c sensor. The scope is well made nice and solid. The one small issue I had the focuser was a little notch as it was adjusted a little to tight. I adjusted it and it works perfectly now. They made significant improvements over the previous versions 1 and 2.

I have the AT60EDP which I'm completely happy with. I can't compare it to the Sharpstar having not owned one but I did own the Redcat at one point so I have some reference for comparison. The AT60EDP is a solid build, excellent flat field optics (sharp from edge to edge), no corrective reducer/flattener required. I've used it with both a Canon SL3 DSLR and a ZWO ASI183MC camera with no back focus issues. I did a short ad hoc first impressions review back in Nov, '23: https://www.cloudyni...st-impressions/ Cheers.

I also have the Sharpstar 61 EDPH III along with the 0.75 reducer. It works very well on my 2600MC (APS-C sized sensor), with no problems.

There is a tiny bit of chromatic aberration if you pixel peep, but it can be fixed in post.
