A friend of mine over 30 years ago gave me these pics of a scope he owned at the time.   The first is older and presumably when it was original.  The second is after some modifications.   Does anyone here know what the original scope was?  It is a 12.5 inch newt/cass design.   Thanks.

I do believe that second image shows a couple of "ballistic" cones attached to the secondary assemblies.

Looks like the Cave 2.5" mount in a way but is it not..

Astroscopics also made the "Volkscope", which looks like a casual beer-drinkin kind of dob.

 

I searched the Astronomy magazine archive for Astroscopics and only found references in 1979 and 1980.

I lusted for that in 1979 when i was 15 and broke. Better have a Paracorr.
