When hitting mount to home, my ASIAIR plus it drives the Celestron AVX Advanced to Polaris (weight down), but when I send the mount home from the hand controller it homes to the correct and desired (horizontal) position even though the mount was properly synced..How do I fix this I need the mount to home horizontally as it is correctly set in the hand controller of the mount.

Try the "home is where you start" quirk of the AIR, detailed here.  Report back whether the AIR Plus does the same thing.

there is no custom park/home position for ASIAIR

the home position for ASIAIR is the position you describe

in future we will add custom park/home positions

There is no sensor to determine home position on the AVX so it can't be done from startup. Once you've performed an alignment the home position can be calculated and you can goto home or park.
The ASIAir & hand controller don't talk to each other so only one must take control they'll never agree. ZWO don't know what they're talking about
