Good evening (here anyway)....

I bought a "new" fork for my CPC-1100 that sustained a bad fall and broke one of the aluminum brackets that holds the tube in place. I was completely unable to find a replacement for that part or even a single post anywhere of someone describing a repair to that particular break.

The "new" fork's ALT cam has about a half inch of play when it's locked down. Pretty sure that renders it useless for goto and astrophotography.

I'm wondering if I can replace this with the apparently still working cam on the old fork. Has anyone ever done something like this?
