Picked up a set of used equipment -

The gentleman says - wait - I have the old military lens - you want it too?  It was huge (around 3" across for the body)

Really heavy - And dingy, obviously military surplus (even has an USAF asset tag on it).

Of course I wanted it!

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from it.  But - it already had a 2" eyepiece barrel on it - so put it on my WO 110mm refractor - haven't even dusted it off...

Wow!  What a cool wide angle eyepiece - has to be over 50mm - very low mags, and not much pincushion in the view

The front lens is 2" across - you have to browse your way across it to see everything.  It literally turned my scope into a giant finder.

Anyway - a lot of fun!

Measure the exit pupil and divide that into the front lens diameter.  That'll give you the power.  Then divide your scope's focal length by that power it'll tell you the eyepiece focal length.
