In PHD2 when connecting, the ‘Connect Equipment’ tab pops up.  So to start fresh I click on ‘Manage Profiles’ and select ‘New using Wizard’ and type in the info for my guide camera and mount.  But when I go to the Brain and ‘Advanced settings’, ‘Camera tab’, ‘Camera-Specific Properties’, and ‘Pixel size’, it has filled in the pixel size of my imaging camera (ASI2600mc-3.76) instead of my guide camera (ASI220mini-4.0).  I’ve changed my profile several times and deleted the old profiles, but it keeps coming back and wanting me to create a new Dark library and bad pixel map.  I must be missing a crucial step but at this point I’m going in circles.

I’m using NINA but even opening PHD2 by itself (after connecting to EQASCOM) the problem persists.  My understanding is NINA only deals with my imaging camera and just opens the guide program and lets PHD2 select the guide camera.

Please, any suggestions?

I have had that problem, disconnect your imaging camera, then run new profile in PHD2, it wont see your main camera. After it is setup reconnect your imaging camera, from then on it should be fine when PHD2 loads your profile.

When you setup the new profile using the wizard, make sure that the 2600 isn't connected and only the 220 is connected.

This is only necessary when you first set it up. After that you can have both cameras connected, PHD should be able to automatically choose the 220.

Also delete any old profiles, so their is no option but the new profile to load

There is a two headed arrow in PHD2 where you can select the camera you want it to use. Disconnect both cameras in N.I.N.A. and PHD2, use that icon in PhD2 to ensure it has the right camera with the correct pixel size, and save the profile in PHD2 so it will always load that camera when you load the profile. After that, each app should only connect to the correct camera.

I never use the wizard anymore because it rarely connects to the camera I want it to.

After you start PHD2 and select connect, in the popup window, on the Camera line you will see 2 arrows on a button, one black and on green, press it and select the camera for guiding and select connect.

Wow!  Thank you everyone.   I have never noticed the button with the Black and Green arrows.  Hopefully that will work miracles for me.

OK, I'm not quite there yet.  Each time I turn off everything and start over, when click on the Black/Green button I see that it has defaulted to the 2600 instead of the 220 mini.  So not yet sure how to stop that.  My guide cam is connected to the back of the 2600, so I don't think I can disconnect it as was suggested.

Maybe this is it.  In the New Equipment Profile box there’s a dropdown menu for Initial Profile Settings, the choices are PHD Defaults or My Equipment.  It was set on PHD Defaults.  I think that will solve it.
