I got a 150mm f/5 and a ASI678MC, any and all tips and tricks are greatly appreciated! I usually shoot with my ASI678 and 2X barlow for f/10 but I can also go with the 3X and ASI662 for f/15... I guess my concern is the moon blowing out Mars?

You could start with Astronomy Tools FOV here. Here's your 150 and ASI678MC, no reducer or barlow:

Mars will pass behind the Moon a little after the Sun goes down. Sky Safari says it will take a couple hours for Mars to go behind and pass out from behind the Moon. So there should be some time to play with settings, etc. The Moon may be too bright and wipe out Mars, or Mars may be too small in the image compared to the Moon. Good Luck!

Yes indeed! That was pretty cool. I particularly enjoyed how the planet's color became more prominent as it approached the moon.

Just watched it re-appear with my 10x50 binoculars.  Great sight!
