I have a Star'Ex V 1.0 from summer/fall 2023.  Shelyak recently started selling a "GEN2" quad slit that I think will make it easier to align the spectrometer and be better for photometry.  A few questions:

  • Has anyone used the new GEN2 slit with a V1.0 Star'Ex, i.e., done a direct swap with the original quad slit?
  • If the GEN2 slit requires a new support block, can I swap the Star'Ex V2.0 support block for the V1.0 support block or do I need to get a V2.0 Star'Ex module?
  • If I need to get a new Star'Ex module, is the V2.0 module compatible with the V1.0 spectrometer body or would I need to get all new everything?

Thanks,

Chris
