There is a scope for sale locally but the seller has no information on it other than he thinks it’s about 25 years old and is a 150mm. Using the pictured accessories as scale, I don’t think this is a 6” refractor. I’ve asked for more pictures but I wonder if anyone recognises what this scope is? I can make out a sticker that says ‘Solar Voyager’ on the lens hood and ‘TRIFID Astro aimer’ near the focuser. The tube rings also appear to have a sticker with ‘imaging’ on them.

Not a lot to go on but maybe someone recognises it.

It's a 150mm f/5 Synta/Sky-Watcher achromat.

Thanks! How are these generally? I guess quite a bit of false colour should be expected.

John Wyndham wrote day of the triffids. Hopefully the aimer isn’t from the book.

Good at low power, mediocre at medium power, bad at high power.

For $250 I'd grab it for Wide Field DSO's and globs.

Yep, $250 is a good price, especially if it’s in good condition.  But beware, it could be a mess. At least try to get a pic if the objective.
