Hello All,

I have been out of basic astrophotography for a few years now and am trying to get back in for 2025. Never has an Electronic Focuser so went with the QHY QFocuser Electronic Focuser (Precision Version). The idea is to keep the focuser in case we want to do some visual observing.

I have used Astroberry in the past and have NINA installed on my laptop. It works well with NINA, but I am unable to select the INDI version of the driver within Astroberry.

Did my usual download all from Github, did a make all, and still nothing.

Anyone has any experience with Astroberry or any other Linux-based platform and has used QHY QFocuser before?

Best, Ansu.

Check if INDI is updated (sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade indi-full) and if the QHY driver is installed (indiserver -v | grep QHY). Also, ensure your user is in the dialout group (sudo usermod -aG dialout $USER) and restart. If it still doesn’t show up, you may need to compile the latest INDI QHY driver manually.

Well, it did not work, from the kstar, the driver wasn't on the list eventhough I can see the driver witin the folder structure.

Trying to reinstall kstart and hope it will show up.
