Good Day everyone

Had anyone had a chance to capture planet alignment that had happened on Jan 25th 2025

Unfortunately I was  cloud in completely, and I was wondering if someone can post some pics from that event.

ThankYou

There was no “planetary alignment”, just some of the planets, only four to most observers, visible across almost the entire sky. Beautiful for sure, but not aligned closely in the sky.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what everyone is in a fuss about. I've had several friends, coworkers, and even my Mom mention this to me or send links to articles about a "rare planetary alignment", but since CloudyNights is the closest thing to social media I use, guess I'm just outta the loop shrug.gif lol.gif

After sunset you've got Venus and Saturn sinking low in the west, Jupiter near the meridian, and Mars high in the east. Uranus and Neptune are also there, just not to the naked eye. Neptune is above (east) of Venus, while Uranus is right (west) of Jupiter.

Near the end of next month will be a "cooler planetary alignment" IMO since all the planets will be visible at the sametime when Mercury has made it's way back on the other side of the Sun and is approaching it's greatest eastern elongation... just my opinion.

The planets are still there, so if your skies do clear up take a look early in the evening. Uranus and Neptune are not typically visible to the naked eye, but Saturn, Venus, Jupiter and Mars are spread out across the sky. Mercury is now on the other side of the sun.

Thank you all.

Where I am we had 100% of clouds and I would love to see what was out there.

Thank You again
