Looking through my Meade LX-200 GPS 10” at my game ranch on a chilly night in Lusaka, Zambia.

My two per Zebra (Zippy and Zappy) are usually on hand to provide company!

What about lions and those kinds of animals? That must be pretty cool watching Zebra's walking around you.

I recently picked up this 20 year old LX90 for £500 (650 USD?). It came with a set of Meade 4000 eyepieces and the original bill of sale for £1699!

I knocked the seller down a bit due to some rusty screws on the OTA and some blemishes on the inside of the corrector plate. Fortunately, these came off well with a clean and I have replaced the screws with stainless items.

My experience of SCT's over the years hasn't been that favorable to be honest but my initial appraisal of this one is that I seem to have a 'good one' - so I'm really pleased and looking forward to putting it through its paces.

Hey Guys!

I have an LX 850 that was handed down to me and I honestly do not know much about telescopes at all. I have an LX 850, LX 200, 3 Celestron, and a Unistellar that are assembled and looking to list all of them once I figure out a good listing price. I would really appreciate someone’s time to guide me in the right direction on what I have and where to begin on selling them. I am located in central Missouri and willing to drive up to 3 hours to get rid of them. To start, here are pics of the Meade LX850.

I wish someone would "hand" such a telescope down to me laugh.gif

Yeah,  I think that sentiment is well shared.

Get your wide fields out and watch for Santa.

Heck,  I've got gear I'd trade for it depending on why they're looking to "get rid of it"

Maybe it's just too much to lift and set up and they want a small refractor instead.

I'm always leery of this type of drive-by  posts. It's a new user,  can't post on classifieds, with a LOT of gear looking "to get rid of it all" now last seen in September. Should have been caught admins.

Clear skies,

The cooling fan is on the outside back. if this is like my previous 7 mak, you plug the fan iinto the power outlet on the base (it is a basic 2 lead mono jack). If it doesn't spin, try another cable or take the fan off and make sure the blades are clean.
