As I have not yet had the opportunity to take the scope outside ( it's too cold for me!), would anyone take a guess as to how much back focus is available? Are scopes of this era typically capable of prime focus photography?

The draw tube has an extension of 100mm, plus the helicoid of the "captain's wheel".

I am wondering if it has enough back focus to accommodate a flip mirror, or perhaps a filter drawer.

Refractors usually have more than enough back focus to accommodate prime focus photography, since they're set up to use a diagonal, and the diagonal eats up more back focus than the camera does.

But whether it has enough to also use a flip mirror or a filter drawer, that I do not know.

Clear skies!
