We had horrible weather during January, without any good night for serious deep sky observing.

To keep my eyes from rusting, I did a few short observing sessions with a 140mm APM refractor. One of targets was Tau Canis Majoris cluster, which is one of more visually spectacular clusters in my book. It begged to be sketched!

Vedrand this is a beautiful sketch. I love the star trains and the various asterisms, as well as the difference in magnitudes very nicely presented!                                           Kind Regards Jon

So many of us seem to really love this particular open cluster.  I know I do and you have done it justice with your superb sketch!bow.gif

Regards and clear skies,
