I have an older Losmandy G11 and learned that some folks have had a 3D RA Axis extension "Printed."  I have the #492 Drive.  I wonder who had their extensions printed and was it successful?

I do not do 3D Printing so will need a source.

Thanks, Nick

With the weight of the mount head alone, I wouldn't ever print that part. Presumably you'll have at least another 30+ pounds of scope on it with extra counterweight on a lump of plastic?! No thank you! Your G11 should be able to separate the two axes by removing the four bolts and the extension (or separator kit) is inserted there. Even with the extension plate under the saddle, I wouldn't trust any kind of plastic to hold the mount's rated weight.

I would second that. A plastic RA extension kit sounds like a bad idea. I don’t know how much money you’ll save having that done. Maybe you’re worried about the cost of aluminum going up? But I wouldn’t think it’s worth it.
The real Losmandy kit cost me around $350. Just make sure you get the one designed to fit the older G11’s.
