And another reminder. Take the diagonal out and put your widest eyepiece in the back of the scope. Then look through that and tell us what you see.
On Edit:
And also give it a thorough tryout before you turn on your dew strips.

If the center is foggy, when telescope points anywhere or just particular angle?
My telescope, heck even refractor gives a nice "wonderful" haze or halo effect around planets.. its street lights.. At first i thought the dob is being bad, but after getting second and third telescope i know for sure. its real bad but what can you do.

Silly question, but can the distance you have your eye from the surface of the eyepiece glass have that affect? I purposely pushed my eye into the cups tonight and it wasn't to noticable, however the atmosphere and local temps all seemed to be good this evening. So not sure still of the cause but I did try pushing my eyes closer.

Getting close enough to the glass will allow you to see the whole view at once. That being said, staying back too far from the glass shouldn’t make the edges blurry. You just won’t see the edges. So still a bit of a mystery, but it is looking like a fluke thing. Seems like the issue is gone now.
I hope its gone...but it did happened more than one outing prior. Weather permitting i will be out again Friday eves. and see how it goes.
