As someone who's been in electronics all his life, I've seen those kinds of caps everywhere. They are used as protective caps for connectors and cable ends. Great choice for eyepiece caps and plugs. I've never known where to buy them, now I do.

Thanks

Nice things! At $ 6,00 a piece I wouldn't call 'm really inexpensive, though. They would even do a better job if them were made glow-in-the-dark?

Thanks!

The glow in the dark is a neat idea.

Btw - There's some confusion on the price - they aren't $6 a piece. They are $6 for a bag of 5-10, $20 for the big mixed bundle - depending on what you're ordering.

Tom,
Lumicon also sells these, same color, but only in 1.25" cap, 2" cap, 1.25" plug, and 2" plug: 6.95 to 8.95 for a set of 4 pieces.
The only issue with these is their stickiness, which makes their removal difficult (the caps, not the plugs). But, that makes them less prone to falling off.

I like the feel and utility of these, but I find the fact that I can't stand my eyepiece up when the barrel cap is on annoying.

Yup. I have a few bags of them around here and that's my only complaint also.
