BIF:  BORG gets their optics from CANON OPTRON -- same as Takahashi...  (Makes me wonder:  Why do BORG fluorites get lower ratings / reviews than Tak versions?  I guess there really is a Tak Magic while finishing the lens.)

I'm sure the level of optical quality depends on the level of optical quality that the buyer specs. Also, most Borgs are very fast and lean more to being astrographs. One the the secrets to Takahashi's optical quality is that their mainstream apo refractors (not their astrographs) have mid FLs.

That Meade 10" LX75 Sch Newt popped up again by me on CL and now 1k and was 1.5k.  What a hunk it must be on that mount.

most likely the scope is on Zen market also where it might go cheaper and the buyer there will resell it on ebay once it was purchased from Zen.

Yes... and, by SLR MT I'm referring to the Mount Tee (in this case, Olympus)...

IOW:  Designed for an old timey 35mm SLR Camera -- not a modern digital version...

Of all my 35mm SLRs, I wish I'd kept my Pentax K1000.   Simple.  Well-made.  99.9% Reliable.

Selling my Canon AE-1P was easy:  Debbie's coworker had a daughter getting a minor in Photography -- practically gave it away.  (I hadn't used it in decades!)

You know what?  Like Turntables, these quality film cameras are making a comeback...  (Sold my DUAL with solid wood cabinet when Charlotte was still in diapers.)  My Timing... stinks.

Nope. I checked Zen and Yahoo! and it is not on either site.

The fact that it has this many listings from different vendors is raising red flags. Normally, those are scammers who have a lot of accounts to target as many suckers as possible. They could be legit but my experience has been that they are questionable at best.

yep they all do the same thing. They advertise on ebay and hope they win the bid on Zen market. If they dont they cancel the ebay sale. If you look on ebay under Takahashi you will see lots of ads on ebay of the same thing.

Looks like a 8" LX200 Classic, $400 in Show Low, AZ:

I don’t see the hand controller and these need new capacitors and power supplies before you can power it up. Use 12VDC to test it.

I have a Pentax K1000 too. My sister bought it over 40 years ago, it was the recommended model for a photography course she took. There are still several places around Ottawa that sell and process film, but I am all digital now. I have used the lenses from the K1000 with an adapter on my Micro 4/3 camera for some night sky imaging.

And speaking of old audio equipment, also have my sister's old Pioneer SX-580 receiver. The woodgrain plastic foil is peeling a bit but it still works great. I have audio output from my desktop computer routed through the Aux inputs and feed the output from my fooling about with software synths through it.
