I observed the conjunction of Mars and the Moon last night using my Canon 15x50 IS and 80mm f/5 Orion ShortTube 80 refractor.  I also took some afocal iPhone photos of the two celestial bodies.

Here's a screen shot from Stellarium.  The waxing gibbous Moon was 9.9 days old and was illuminated 75.5% at the time.  Mars subtended 10.1 arc seconds.
