Have you searched YouTube?  It may be best if you list your equipment.

There are a lot of ways to control it.  Try this for an overview.  There are more detailed videos around on using it with the phone app, or the ASIAir, or a PC.  If you're just doing visual, you may be fine with the HC or phone app.

I was using an AM5 with asiair until the asiair broke and tried to control it with NINA. I tried several times, but could get NINA's three point polar alignment to run, so I was basically stuck and the NINA discord channel  did not give me an answer.

My AM5 works fine with NINA.  Before trying TPPA the first time, I watched Cuiv's 10-minute video on it.  Maybe something in there will help you get it working.  NINA is very powerful, but not particularly intuitive or easy to learn.  Plug-ins add more power and complexity.  Fortunately there are plenty of videos out there to jump start you.  And this is also not a bad place to come when stuck.  Good luck to both of you!

EDIT:  @ Tom, something that could be getting in the way of TPPA is plate solving.  It would be good to make sure that's working ok for you.  If you aren't able to sort out your TPPA, start another post the the Beginning Deep Sky Imaging forum, and provide more info on where the process is getting stuck and what's happening at that point.

I recently got an AM5N, and found a you tube video from I think Peter Zelinka; It goes through unboxing, physical attachment to tripod,it's interfaces;and it's usage with ASIAIR.It was so helpful I saved it for reference when it stops raining.

When I started TPPA, NINA disconnected.  This happened several times, and without good polar alignment I did not want to go farther I have done TPPA with my 10Micron mount, so I was surprised when the AM5 disconnected (it might have been that sub-window covered up something I needed to go forward and when clicked that sub-window the mount disconnected). I was able to move the mount but just could not get TPPA to work.
