Hello,

I use PIPP very occasionally...

I just noticed that PIPP flips my images around horizontal axis.

I was shooting the Moon yesterday (of course : )

Loaded my fits files into PIPP and processed mainly to crop a bit.

Result: flipped images.

There are checkmarks in PIPP to flip horizontally / vertically - those were unchecked.

Is this the normal behavior?

Thanks!

Hmm...

I just cropped my fits images in Pixinsight and aligned with Autostakkert.

The result is the same as with PIPP - the final image is flipped!

Something to do with some fits file header?

Different software packages treat FITS differently. Some invert, some don’t.

So, OK... That's what I thought.

I just need to be aware of this.

Thank you.

half the time I don't remember if I'm flipped and most people here don't mind (or bother telling me) - and I switch between a newt and an SCT so that adds another flipping scenario
