Title pretty much says it all.

Is this eyepiece considered a good choice for bono-viewing, are there any strong pro's and con's , etc.

Thanks

I have the APM 24mm UFF for binoviewer and binoscope usage.

IMO - It is very good but definitely prefer the TV 24 Panoptic.

The TV has much better “pop” and edge definition especially in my APM 70 90° binoscope.

I use filters on the APMs.

Thanks. Yeah, the 24 Pan' seem to be the gold standard, but not in my price range now, esp as I need to buy two!

I'm currently using 24mm UO Konig's and wondering if these would be an improvement. (Also would gain 5 deg in AFOV from 60 to 65)

Yes, they are very good bino eyepieces for the price, they should certainly perform better in regards to edge correction than your konigs if you’re using a relatively fast effective focal ratio. If you have a slow effective focal ratio the improvement might be minimal. The 24mm UFFs are physically quite large and ergonomically might be worse than your konigs, depending on your facial structure.

There’s a good deal on the Orion 24s at Highpoint now.  $100.

I have the APM 18s-they displaced my ES 20mm 65s, but recently I came into a pair of Denk 21s which I prefer more.

I have a pair of the APM 24mm UFF and they are optically very good to excellent IMO. I use them with a CZAS and a Binotron 27. They are, however, large and, for me, they are the edge of usable. They've become my least used bino eyepieces because of the ergonomics for my face. (I have Denk 21mm and Zeiss and Leica microscope eyepieces which I use more than the 24mm UFFs). If you can use the 24mm APM UFFs comfortably, I think they're an excellent option.

I have a pair of the Denk 21mm (I believe is actually more like 22.4mm).

Definitely prefer them over the UFF 24mm.

Much better ergonomics.

Its my favourite eyepiece for bino'ing. Good eye relief. I say its my 24mm delite.  I can fit dioptrx on them as well.

I had the 22mm panoptic which is better but at the time I couldn't find a second one........so sold it and bought the APM's.

the panoptic was heavier.
