Well, it's happened!  The prices for both the S30 and S50 have gone up $50.

They are now $400 and $550 (rounding).  Those are the prices most everywhere — Astronomics, Agena, High Point.  Amazon (which many of us would avoid anyway) has the S30 for $430 now — with mid-May delivery!

Too bad, but the increases were expected.  Wonder if they'll go up even more when the tariffs come into full swing.

Also, am curious to hear whether prices are going up for those who pre-ordered…. For your sakes, hope not.

Alas, I only learned about the SeeStars a few weeks ago and have been enjoying exploring the reviews, comments, and photos.  So, I was getting ready to buy, but kept reading more and, finally, decided to pose questions here to capture final key points of information.

As the saying goes, “He who hesitates is lost!”  Applies to telescope buyers, squirrels, and faint hearts courting!

ZWO prices went up almost across the board. AM5N went from $1999 to $2499

You US guys are lucky - it's £2,260 here, about $2,900. Not that I was planning to buy one anyway.

Since this discussion is about the SeeStar I want to say I purchased my S 50 two weeks ago before the price increase. Sometimes you luck out.
I am really liking it too.

Guessing back orders on S30 will probably be costed at new rate. My payment is due upon shipment confirmation by seller.

Hello Steve,

You can check with the Vendor and see if you are locked in at the lower price. Even if you are not, the Seestar is still worth it.

Totally agree. I purchased it from our hosts. From what I’ve seen posted with S30 it is well worth the price even with the increase.

The S30 went from $489CDN in December to $506CDN, probably due to exchange, so not seeing any impacts of tariffs in Canada.

Well the US is putting tariffs on Chinese imports, so those tariffs don’t affect Canada unless Canada is also imposing tariffs on China.

Telescopes Canada just got close to 20 back in stock at maybe $20 more than I paid for the first ones in Dec., I haven't checked the exchange rate lately but thats what I suspect, every time, eh.

Got my notification to reauthorize my payment from Astronomics today as well. Hopefully everyone with a preorder is able to get the pre-tariff price.
