I look at the sellers ratings.

My new eyepiece has just arrived and it is raining in Cádiz, of course.

In addition, the seller has also contributed money, so everything has tasted good.

This is a very good EP to have and to use. I would not let a bad second-hand example ruin the experience. I stay in the tropics where mould is a constant threat so all my eyepieces are stored in a dry cabinet.

Hi, I hope you solve your problem.

I rencently experience this zillions of bubbles fungus mold like inside the eyepiece from my X-Cell that I bought from Amazon. Amazon did take care of refund promptly, no problem. But whoa, I was shock, like thousands of little bubbles in equal size all inside the eyepiece, I dunno if it mold or fungus.

First I experience it, and it from an X-Cel eyepiece.

Mold is fungus.

A myriad of what looks like bubbles could be dust or defective glass.

Mold is fungus.

A myriad of what looks like bubbles could be dust or defective glass.

Perhaps it defective glass, afterall it made in China and bad QR (unlike Japan Televue).

Let me explain exactly, it just weird. I ordered 2 of Celestron X-Cel same magnification, just 2 quantities, due to tarriff and it was $70 (sale price on Amazon).

Amazon ship to me prompty, the box it seal (so I know no one open it before), it just the box looks old (like it the old stock in the back corner laying around long time in warehouse).

I opened it, and whoa BOTH (yep 2 quanties) looks EXACTLY the same, zillions of bubbles of same size all inside the eyepieces (it deep inside in the glass it self), I can't clean it, it like within the glass.

What weird is BOTH eyepieces has the exactly same defects, and all the zillions of bubbles spots are exactly SAME size.

So I think it just defective glass of that batch, surely fungus or mold can't grow zillions of exactly SAME size spots like that.

Anyways I returned both back to Amazon. Got my refund.
