Hi All,
I'm planning to get an older 8" Cassegrain scope back in service. It's an amateur build that was owned by Charles Rumsey Jr, who also owned the odd homebuilt Mak I posted about in another thread.
The mirror was apparently figured by a Maurice Shapiro in the Bronx. Does he ring a bell with anyone?
I've got the scope disassembled, and I'll post some pics as it comes together. Here's the rear of the mirror:
