Refractor size comparisons

Here are a couple of comparisons of smaller scopes.
First is a Borg 90FL and a Tak FS-60CB. Despite having 50% more aperture, the Borg isn't that much larger and is less than 30% heavier (2.23kg vs 1.76kg).
Next is a Tak FC-76DCU and the Borg 90FL.

Yes. Or include something else in the picture for scale, a pet perhaps. How big are the floor planks? 2"x24", 4"x48", or 8"x96"
!
Great idea, thanks. I edited the original post to include a 4x6 photograph for reference. I also realized that the dew shield positions were not equivalent so I updated the images for consistency.
@fedele, what are the telescopes in your images? Some appear to be quite similar in size and length but are they similar in aperture?

Top image is from 2009
From the top...
1. Astro-Physics 155 F7 (I owned the scope for 17 years)
2. Takahashi TSA 120 (I've owned this scope for 16 years)
3. Borg 77 – With a Ha solar filter (sold)
4. Celestron Wide View 102mm F5 achromat (I've owned this scope fr 20 years)
Bottom image is from 2024
From the top...
1. Takahashi TSA 120 (I've owned this scope for 16 years)
2. Takahashi FC-100DF (I've owned this scope for 2 years)
3. Lunt 100 – Solar Ha refractor (I've owned this scope for 9 years)
4. Celestron Wide View 102mm F5 achromat (I've owned this scope for 20 years)
5. 50mm guide scope & NVD Image Intensifier – used for astronomy (Owned 9 years)
The only reason I sold the AP 155 was because of my advancing age. Even though it's one of the most compact 6"-class apos around, it just became too much for my bad back. If it's too much, even a best-of-class refractor can't be used.

When doing a comparison of telescope size it is a good idea to have a scale nearby as shown in the post #27 by Lagrange.
If scale is not available, we may use our own body vs. long refractor for a reference.
A cat (Bessy) could be good for small refractors
Whatever that everyone is familiar with... It works for MAKs , too.

That's a lovely collection of scopes!
What's on the end of the FS-60, is it a solar filter?

From left to right:
APM140, FS128, FC100DC, Tak finder
Weight is 9Kg/7Kg/4Kg/0.5Kg
The DC is actually just 2.8kg as a bare OTA. The DZ is close to 4kg.

Same thing struck me with Tammy’s post and yours John: the LZOS 130mm F/9.2 is huge.
