Hi all, came across this $60 USB-C chillers, that can attach with a magnet plate. I got 1 for my ASI ZWO 178MM, and inside seams to cool down to 25 F degrees. Not bad for $40 on Amazon.

Then I found a smaller unit and cools better, it's $60, they are made for cell phones and ipads. This is the 1 I got and I am very surprised with the size as it's very small about the same diameter as the ZWO 178MM, and with the stick on magnet thin mask. It's blue tooth so you can control the cooling and can change the RGB led's colors. It says it can show the temperature, but I am not seeing it as it's in the Android app.

Here's the link and just wanted to let others know about this is someone is looking to cool there non cooling cameras.

When I can get the app to show temps, this will be great!!!

Hello,

I was thinking of tinkering something like that. I also use a 178:-)

But I am afraid of the vibrations caused by the fan. Can you tell us if they are preceivable by the camera?

Also, What is the power consumption of that thing. Peltiers can chew a LOT of power, and I am nomade :-(

Hi Cyrille, I have not tested it yet, but the fan seams to be like the cooling cameras that have a fan built in. If I keep it that's will be something I test at high power.

As for power its a USB-C, with my USB-C power meter reads 12V 2.6 AMPS and 26 watts, at max fan speed.

So far its the best easy and fast to setup I have seen. NOTE: No temp readout sad to say...
