Rather than create separate threads I will just dump them here.

 

Polaris (alf UMi), spectral type F81b, captured with ALPY600 + AP-140 refractor + ASI533mm. Data Reduction with Demetra.

Hi Steve,

 

It looks like your continuum is a bit off (The broad dip around H delta, compare with Regulus from the Melchiors database here for example.

If the dip is not there when you apply your response to the reference star, check that there is no saturation in this region in the regulus spectrum. If you can see it in the corrected reference star spectrum check you have not oversmoothed the response curve in this region.

Also the rise at the red end in Arcturus does not look right. See the Melchiors spectrum

The ALPY600 was apart to install the High performance slit 23µm and the ASI174mm guide camera, so focus could be off. The High performance slit 23µm allows me to see dim extended objects.
