Here is my belated offering for the lunar eclipse from last week. We had a lot of rain in the days immediately preceding the eclipse, so I was pleasantly surprised to get some moments of clear sky in between clouds to observe the eclipse. I captured several images during intermittent cloud cover, and the image below represents a stack of 8 images, stacked on the Moon. Because the stars trail in that stack, I opted to select one of the base images to use as the background. The time corresponds to 12:12am PDT. I used a 6" f/6 Newtonian telescope with a Nikon D500. Exposures were 4s at ISO 200. Overall this was a very nice lunar eclipse, with the Moon relatively high in the sky with a long period of totality and beautiful coloration.
