I just uploaded a video tutorial showing what hardware is needed for the EQ mode and some tips on good practices to get the best results with the new mode.  I also demonstrate how to do a rough pre-align during the day so that the fine tuning at night with the Seestar App goes more quickly.  You can find that video here https://www.youtube....h?v=qw826i4D5OQ

I see that Seestar released the new update just as I published this video.  Unfortunately for me, I have clouds the next 2 nights so I won't be able to test out the EQ mode fully until Sunday night.  But good luck to everyone else.  This is a very exciting update.

Best Regards,

Curtis

I just added a follow up video which includes a live demonstration of the polar alignment process using a wedge to mount the Seestar in EQ mode.  It also includes some test imaging to show that we can now get stacking efficiencies of 100% with no dropped frames.  One thing that confuses folks about the Seestar polar alignment process is the fact that the wedge is not set to one's latitude, but rather to the complementary angle.  I demonstrate and explain why this is the case so there is no confusion when the Seestar app tells us to move away from our latitude angle which can be confusing, at least the first time we use the app.  You can find this additional video here https://www.youtube....h?v=MPuwhBSJr9w

Best Regards,

Curtis
