Seems like Vixen is about to release their version of the classic AT72ED?

 

Comes with quite a few accessories, including an aluminium case, 5x30 finder and erect zenith prism. They say it is SD glass, wonder if there is any difference with the Chinese origin one. I see no mention of provenance yet.

Good to see that relations between China and Japan are good? to allow Vixen to continue to offshore their manufacturing.

Maybe they are hoping domestic market won’t be able to read the “made in..” label, and rise above the sea of 70mm scopes.

Vixen should spend more energy repairing distribution in North America market.

Focuser looks nicer than the normal Vixen single speeder. Rest of the SD range would benefit from such an upgrade.
