Is anyone using a Celetron Edge HD, with an OAG and a field rotator?  If so, I'd be very interested in hearing how it works for you, your equipment, optics train, capture software (NINA, etc.) and any need for recalibration (PHD2).  Photos would be a plus!

I'm currently using a 9.25" Edge HD, with a Celestron OAG, but no rotator.  I'm interested in the new ZWO rotator but hesitate acquisition until I learn if others are having success with their imaging train, guiding, repositioning, etc.

Thanks...

Fortunately there is plenty of back-focus to work with so the CAA won’t be an issue. I have one on the way. Not sure how much weight it can handle since I plan to hang this off the back of it:

Just got mine yesterday with various spacers to clear the OAG-L camera and provide the proper back focus.  The EAF with the standard SCT bracket is going to create an obstruction given that the CAA apparently turns 180 on a meridian flip and currently doesn’t have a rotation limit option.  Rather than waiting for ZWO to release updates to fix these issues, I ordered a new lower profile bracket .  It’s already on the way, so I should be fully up and running by the end of the week.  Now if the sky would just cooperate…..

Hi,

I haven't received my M54 adapters so far.

I used this thread to compute the required adapters tickness:

https://www.cloudyni...l#entry13873520

I ordered the Askar backfocus adapter to help me to fine tune the back focus distance. Still waiting for the CAA along with M54 adapters.

M54 adapters are not very common on the market so I may need to wait some weeks so local astro store can get it back on inventory.

Cheers,

Marc
