About 2030 I saw a lit S shape about 5 degrees across, very bright with a  halo. North of my position in Farnham. Travelling from West to East, about the same altitude as Polaris. The S and Halo gre larger and fainter as it passed into the east, fading from view.

An out of control deorbiting starlink or failed launch? Did anyone else see it?

By the time I had found my phone for a picture it was too faint to pick up.

I am not in the area, but I know many people who saw it. Likely an old rocket body re-entering and burning up quite dramatically.

Ive got a most-sky camera on my roof in Southampton, facing north, and at 2038 theres a single very bright frame (it only does about 1 frame/min, and its fogged up too!).

I wonder if that was it?!

Hey,  I seen this I think this evening. Please see the images. They are not great but you can clearly see the swirl of something spinning. I am in Manchester and it seemed to be travelling west to east so long as my phone compass was calibrated correctly... It was moving very slowly, clearly not a plane, no flashing light and bright but behind cloud. Be great to get confirmation of exactly what it was....

I got it earlier at just 20:01 moving NW to SE over south east London.  Four frames in my allsky cam timelapse show it.  Night was quite misty so not a great capture but I wasn't even home!
