Has anybody taken a hard look at using PHD2 PPEC?  I have seen posts saying that the mount RA periodic error is somewhat random so PPEC will not provide any real benefit.  I am thinking about trying this but unsure what values to use other than Period Length which is 288 seconds.

Why not have it track a star, unguided and plot the error ? If you can't find a dominant periodicity in there, there is none to predict.

The way the harmonic gearing works its hard to create an error that would repeat with every revolution of the input shaft.
